Summary of Lexember 2025

Another year, another Lexember done. Now it’s time to tally my results from Lexember 2025. And first of all, my heartfelt thanks to ConWorkShop, whose daily themes make Lexember a pure pleasure.

In total I created 141 words for Rireinutire in connection with the CWS Lexember themes, at least one each day. Of these, 119 were new lemma forms (mostly compounds and other derivations of extant lexemes) and 22 were extensions of existing lexemes. Which means there are at least 119 new wordlinks in the dictionary.

The new lexemes can be divided by part of speech thus: 89 nouns (78 IN, 7 R, 3 F, 1 M), 11 verbs (8 TR, 3 INTR), 17 adjectives, 1 adverb, and 1 interjection.

The old lexemes can be divided by part of speech thus: 13 nouns (11 IN, 2 R), 4 verbs (3 TR, 1 INTR), and 5 adjectives.

My most productive day was Lexember 26 (Along the road, which I turned into a Stalker-rific allusion to Roadside Picnic), resulting in eleven words, nine of them new lexemes.

Technically my most productive day was Lexember 30 (themeless), because I then posted 13 words, seven of them new lexemes, but those were mostly left over from earlier in the month, so it can be argued whether or not that counts as a “day”.

My least productive day was Lexember 16 (Things adventurers and explorers carry), which resulted in only one word.

This year, I coined nine new roots; not as many as last year’s twenty, but still a reasonable number.

Also, along the way I reached the milestone of 12,345 distinct lemmas, with:
tarenuke /ˈtɑɹeˌnuke/ n. F golden beetle, Rireinu beetle with metallic colouration

And I think my favourite new word is
ñayusi /ˈŋɑjusi/ n. IN segue, smooth transition from one topic or theme to another
