It’s a mixed blessing that today’s theme from ConWorkShop is Things you would not want to recieve for your birthday. I was stuck for inspiration since I already have words for many disagreeable things, but then I noticed what I took for a typo in the theme. In the spelling of Human, most rules are more like guidelines, or so it seems. And the only one of those rules I can remember is “It’s I before E except after C, unless that would make it weird.” And so:
ote oomuvasino ñeñure kaki ii niya yakavo sakina vopapayuvotusipa sohata ramiti netekasehuvo:
lecture.NOM proofread-NMZ–GEN importance-ELA which.REL.NOM one thing.NOM be-PRS–INFR that-PTV birthday-present-ESS receive-INF definitely want-PRS–NEG–SBJV–INFR ||
A lecture on the importance of proofreading is one thing I definitely wouldn’t want to receive as a birthday present.
