Winter Solstice is New Year’s Day on Rireinu, and that means housecleaning, so as to have an auspicious beginning for the new year. As the sun sets on New Year’s Eve, the people gather around a community bonfire and everyone throws some used-up thing of hers into the flames. Then there is fireworks and general merrymaking.
