Rome wasn’t built in a day. Rather, it took centuries. You could say that infrastructure was the Roman occupation par excellence. Therefore I think it was entirely appropriate to invoke the ancient Romans when today’s theme from ConWorkShop is infrastructure. And what are the most famous infrastructure works of the ancient Romans? Roads and aqueducts. Roads, we already have. So let’s come up with a cool refreshing word for ‘aqueduct’. How about vete ‘water’ + yuhapi ‘conduit’?
