Lexember is coming

Lexis is the reason for the season. As the name Lexember suggests, the idea is that during the month of December, you add one word a day in the lexis, or vocabulary, of your language. Obviously this is mostly aimed for conlangers, since while making up new words can be fairly simple, it can be challenging to get them into use, unless you yourself are the Académie Française or an equivalent authority for your language.

The merry band of conlangers at ConWorkShop have added fun to Lexember by providing an optional theme of the day, so you don’t have to start with a blank page every day. I for one find that quite helpful; as an accountant, I am not terribly creative. Usually I tend to stick to the theme, but as noted, the theme is totally optional.

My cunning plan for this Lexember is to post here all my daily efforts, because that seems like an easy way to bulk up the site, and I am nothing if not lazy. So, in two days, it’s off to the word mines for me.
